Sailaab was a romantic drama released on August 31, 1990. The movie was directed by Deepak Balraj Vij and produced by Surendra Jain. The lead roles in the movie were enacted by Aditya Pancholi, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Madhuri Dixit, T P Jain and Manju Mishra while the presence of Shammi, Shafi Inamdaar, Sahila Chadda, Jamuna and Om Shiv Puri supported the film. Music of the film was directed by Bappi Lahiri and the songs were sung by Sudesh Bhosle, Amit Kumar, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Anupama, Mangal Singh and Asha Bhosle.

Sailaab was a romantic cum action movie that revolves around the theme of love and safeguarding it. The story of the movie revolves around Krishna ( Aditya Pancholi ). Krishna has lost his memory somehow and was operating under the treatment of Dr. Sushma Malhotra ( Madhuri Dixit ). Krishna was very depressed and sad that he didn’t know anything about his identity and past. This thing has made him helpless but he was consoled by none other than the Dr. Sushma.

Krishna finds his love interest in Dr. Sushma and both fell in love with each other. They got married one day and soon after their marriage, a twist in the story comes when the area Inspector Ranjit calls her and informs that her husband is out to kill her. Sushma disregards this warning. One day Krishna got his memory back after some incident and attacks her. She was clueless as she wondered what harm she has done to him as he wanted to kill her.
