Bollywood romantic action drama, Sambandh, directed by Shibu Mitra was released in the year 1982. The movie starred Vinod Mehra and Rati Agnihotri in lead roles while Ashok Kumar, Sunder Taneja, Brahm Bhardwaj, David Abraham, Madhu Malhotra, Tej Sapru, Deven Verma, Vijay Arora, Rajan Haksar and Mohan Choti also played important characters in the film. The melodious music of the movie was directed by the well known music director Bappi Lahiri while the songs were rendered by Asha Bhonsle, Sharon Prabhakar and Bappi Lahiri himself.

The movie starts with a a beautiful girl named Kiran Mathur ( Rati Agnihotri ), who is living a wealthy lifestyle alongwith her father, Hardayal Mathur ( Ashok Kumar ) and mother. Hardayal is an advocate by profession. Kiran gets into an argument with his college professor, Prakash Khanna ( Vinod Mehra ). Later the matter is solved peacefully by both of them. But problem arises when some intimate photographs of Prakash and Kiran is posted on the college notice board. As a result of this Prakash is dismissed from the college.

Kiran’s marraige also gets cancelled. Hardayal then meets with Prakash and ask him to get married with Kiran so that no one dare to speak against them. Soon Prakash and Kiran get married to each other. They starts leading a happy life together. But Kiran get shocked to reveal that Prakash is having an extramarital affair with his beautiful secretary, Asha ( Amrapali ). What will happen to this marraige now?
