Sangdil Sanam was a romantic movie released on December 16, 1994. The movie was directed and produced by Shomu Mukherjee. The main roles in the movie were played by Salman Khan, Kader Khan, Manisha Koirala and Ashok Saraf while the presence of Anand Balraj, Kiran Kumar, Reema Lagoo and Raza Murad supported the film. The music of the film was directed by Anand Chitragupt and the songs were sung by Amit Kumar, Alka Yagnik, S.P.Balasubramaniam, Kavita Krishnamurthy and Sunita Rao.

Sangdil Sanam was a romantic movie that was quite hit among the masses and did a good job to run for long time in the theatres. The story of the movie revolves around Kailash Nath ( Alok Nath ) who is the manager of a bank and lives a happy life with his wife Savitri Nath ( Reema Lagoo ) and son Kishan ( Salman Khan ). Kailash has a good friend in Bank Watchman, Shankar Dayal Khurana ( Kiran Kumar ). Kailash trusted him so much that he fixed Kishan’s marriage with his daughter Sanam ( Manisha Koirala ).

Soon after the marriage of Kishan and Sanam, the bank gets robbed. Kailash is suspected of the robbery and is charged and sent to the 12 years imprisonment. After the completion of his tenure, when he returns back, he was surprised to see that Kishan and Savitri were untraceable. He was also shocked to find that he was charged with the punishment by none other than Shankar who is now a mayor of the town. In the mean time, Kishan was mature enough to take Sanam to his home as his bride.
