Bollywood romantic flick, Sangdil, directed by R. C. Talwar and written by Ramanand Sagar was released in the year 1952. The movie starred Dilip Kumar and Madhubala in lead roles while Dara Singh, Pratima Devi, Shammi and Leela Chitnis also played significant characters in the film. The hit melodious music of the movie was directed by the legendary music director Sajjad while the songs were beautifully crooned by Talat Mehmood, Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhonsle, Geeta Dutt etc.

Shankar ( Dilip Kumar ) and Kamal ( Madhubala ) are two childhood sweethearts who were seperated by circumstances in their childhood days. They both grows up in different environments. Kamal is brought up to be a priestess ( pujaran ). On the other hand, Shankar is brought up to be a thakur. Shankar has faced injustice throught his life and therefore finally he turned vidictive.

Destiny make them meet agian with each other after so many years. They both becomes happy to see each other. They re kindle their romance and expresses their love for each other. Everything goes fin for them till Kamal reveals about the dirty dark secret of Shankar’s past life. What will happen to the relationship of this couple now?
