Sanjog was a romantic movie released on November 22, 1985. The movie was directed by K Vishwanath and produced by P Mallikharjuna Rao. The key roles in the movie were played by Jeetendra, Vinod Mehra, Jaya Prada and Asrani while Aruna Irani, Agha, Arvind Deshpande, Renu Joshi, Goga Kapoor and Yunus Parvez were also there in the movie. The music of the film was directed by Laxmikant Kudalkar and Pyarelal while the songs were sung by Suresh Wadkar, Asha Bhosle, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Lata Mangeshkar and Kishore Kumar.

Sanjog was a romantic film that managed to keep the audience interested for a long time. The story of the movie revolved mostly around a Bombay based man named Narain ( Jeetendra ) who goes to a village for some work. He comes across a beautiful lady there named Yashodra ( Jaya Prada ) and falls in deep love with her. Even she also liked him and as a result both get married to each other. Narain’s family consists of his parents, brother ( Vinod Mehra ) and sister-in-law, Lalita and her son, Sonu ( Tabassum ).

The movie takes a turn when Yashodra starts spending her most of the time with Sonu. This was not liked by most of the people including Lalita who started hating her now. The movie depicts an accident in which Sonu passes away leaving behind the depressed Yashodra. She also gets pregnant and gives birth to a baby girl but it was very difficult for her to forget Sonu. She started seeing Sonu in every child and others thought as the incident took over her mind.
