The action and social drama Sati Nagkanaya was released in the year of 1983. The movie was directed by Babubhai Mistri and produced by Bhikubhai Marfatia. The movie Sati Nagkanaya was an action cum social drama that showcased the story of a snake taking revenge from some people. The story of the movie revolved mostly around the Prince of Lanka named Indrajeet Meghnath ( Vikram Gokhale ). The Prince Indrajeet is the son of King Ravan. The story of the movie takes a turn when a snake princess marries the Prince. In fact the marriage was planned by the snake princess who deliberately wanted to marry the Prince.

The snake princess wanted to marry Indrajeet because she wanted to pass the curse on him. The reason and the motive behind this was that her spouse was accidentally killed by the Prince Indrajeet when one day he was riding the chariot. Thus the snake Princess was after the Prince and wanted to take the revenge from him at any cost. The movie also depicts the reincarnation of Lord Vishnu as Lord Ram, Goddess Lakhsmi as Goddess Sita ( Anjana Mumtaz ), and Lord Shesh Naag as Lord Lachman.
