Songs of Satta
Satta was a drama released on February 7, 2003 under the banner of Metalight Productions Pvt Ltd. The movie was directed by Madhur Bhandarkar. The significant roles in the movie were played by Raveena Tandon, Sameer Dharmadhikari, Atul Kulkarni and Srivallabh Vyas while there were special appearances by Anant Mahadevan and Vivek Vaswani. The music of the film was directed by Raju Singh and the songs were sung by Asha Bhosle, Shaan, Madhushree, Shubha Mudgal, Shankar Mahadevan and Clinton Cerejo.
The movie “Satta- the game of power”, directed by Madhur Bhandarkar is his next social film after the famous “Chandni Bar” that broke all the records. The director is quite anxious with the film. The director knows that in this industry people tend to compare movies and especially after Chandni Bar comparisons are meant to be there. But the two films are completely different, the actors, the backgrounds and their personalities.
The movie is the story of a highly spirited and ambitious woman Anuradha ( Raveena Tandon ). Though she is a middle class woman but has ambition to make it big in her life. Her whole changes when she marries Vivek Chauhan ( Sameer Dharmadhikari ) who is a reckless and irresponsible man. Her life was drastically affected by several characters around her. But she was not a weak person and makes a comeback after fighting the challenges thrown to her. She also decided to take on the corrupt system, thus changing her life forever.
