Bollywood blockbuster movie, Satte Pe Satta, directed by Raj N Sippy was released on 22 Jan 1982. The movie starred Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini in lead roles while Amjad Khan, Ranjeeta, Sachin and Kanwaljeet Singh were also seen in important roles. The hit music of the film was given by Rahul Dev Burman and the songs were sung by Kishore Kumar, R.D.Burman, Asha Bhonsle, Bhupendra, Sapna Chakraborty etc. the film went on to do fair business at the box office.

The film starts with Ravi ( Amitabh Bachchan ), who is living with his six brother in a large farmhouse. All the brothers including Ravi are living like animals in their house. Ravi falls in love with a nurse named Indu ( Hema Malini ). Ravi and Indu gets married to each other. Indu does the job of making all the brothers civilize persons. Very soon rest of the six brothers finds their girl and falls in love with them.

The group of girls also includes a physically disabled girl named Seema Singh ( Ranjeeta ). She is Ranjit Singh’s ( Amjad Khan ) niece. Ranjit wanst to kill Seema so that he cane takeover all her property. He uses a look-alike of Ravi named Babu for the job. He somehow replaces Ravi with Babu to make it easy for babu to kill Seema. However, to Ranjit misfortune babu falls in love with Seema after spending few days with her.
