Dev Anand and Nimmi starrer family drama flick, Sazaa, was released in the year 1951. The movie was directed by Fali Mistry. The other starcast of the movie includes Durga Khote, Lalita Pawar, K. N. Singh, Mukri and Gopi in important characters. The hit romantic melodious music of the movie was directed by the hit veteran music director Sachin Dev Burman while the songs were beautifully rendered by Lata Mangeshkar, Hemanata Mukherjee and Sandhya Mukherjee.

Young and beautiful Kamini ( Shyama ) is living a wealthy lifestyle in her palatial house. One dau while driving a car, she accidently runs over a young guy named Ashok ( Dev Anand ). Ashok get seriously injured in the accident. Kamini takes him to hospital in her car and provides proper medical treatment to him. Ashok starts recovering from his injuries but it takes a lot of time. Kamini continue to give a visit to the hospital in order to see Ashok. Ashok then fully recovers from his injuries and decides to leave the hospital.

Kamini get attracted towards Ashok and offers him a job in her father’s firm. Ashok joins her father’s firm as manager. Ashok the starst visiting Kamini’s home for office work. There he meets with a mute girl named Asha ( Nimmi ), who actually works as a maid servant in the house. He get attracted towards her. What will happen when Kamini reveals about Ashok’s attraction towards her maid servant.
