Bollywood romantic action drama, Shama Parwana, directed by D. D. Kashyap and written by Safdar Aah was released in the year 1954 The movie starred Shammi Kapoor and Suraiya in lead roles while Bibbi bai, Ulhas, Kumar Naaz, Mubarak, Sunder and Renu Bala also played important characters in the film. The hit evergreen music of the movie was composed by the veteran music director Husanlal Bhagatram while the songs were rendered by Mohammed rafi, Asha Bhonsle and Nirmala Devi.

The movie belongs to a guy named Gul Mirza ( Shammi Kapoor ), who is a poet and lives alongwith his widowed mother ( Bibbi Bai ). He used to sing in the palace of Shehenshah Arkat-Ul-Daula ( Ulhas ). He wins praise from Shehenshah’s beautiful daughter named Shehezadi Aalam ( Suraiya ). He is recruited in army after winning the challenge given by Shehenshah Arkat-Ul-Daula. Meanwhile, Gul and Aalam falls in love with each other. Gul is then asked to travel to a region in only 3 days time. He does so and wins the special attention of Shehenshah.

But Gul is unknown to the reality that Shehenshah is actually planning to kill him and his mother as he does not want Gul to get married with her daughter. Gul manage to escape from the attack performed by Arkat’s goons. He is then declared as a rebel and is announced as the wanted either dead or alive. What will happen to the love story of Gul and Aalam now?
