The movie Shaurya was released on April 4, 2008 under the banner of Moser Baer. The social drama was directed by Samar Khan and the stars of the film in lead roles are Rahul Bose, Minissha Lamba and Kay Kay Menon. Javed Jaffrey and Amrita Rao also played some interesting characters. The soft music of the film was directed by Surendra Sodhi and Adnan Sami and the singers include Shahrukh Khan among the others like Udit Narayan, Abhijeet, Adnan Sami, Sunidhi Chauhan and Kunal Ganjawala. The script of the film wriiten by Samar Khan possesses some flaws but is handled with sensitivity.

The story of the movie is about the battle for truth and justice. Javed Khan ( Deepak Dobriyal ) is charged with killing his superior who was also his friend. The army appointed a Defense and Prosecution lawyer and decided to court martial him. Only hope to Javed was Major Siddhanth Chaudhary ( Rahul Bose ) who was appointed to defend him.

Siddhant had seen several bad things in his life and was ready to fight with it. Siddhanth’s good friend and a prosecuting lawyer Major Aakash Kapoor ( Javed Jaffery ) felt that conviction for Javed Khan was just a matter of procedure. Javed preferred to stay silent and didn’t speak for his defense as he held various secrets within himself. The case took them to Srinagar where Siddhanth met Kavya ( Minissha Lamba ) who posed a new meaning in his blank life. Major Aakash Kapoor wanted to win the case at any cost whether he needs to hide the truth.
