The social movie Sheela was released in the year of 1987. The movie was directed by Deepak Balraj Vij and produced by Dwarkish. The lead roles in the movie were played by Sahila Chadda, Nana Patekar, Kulbhushan Kharbanda and Ranjeeta while the supporting roles were played by Sudhir, Anand Balraj, Jack Gaud, Disco Shanti and Paintal. The music of the film was directed by Bappi Lahiri while the songs were sung by Bappi Lahiri, Alisha Chinoy and Zoheb Hassan.

The story of the movie is quite similar and might be heard of. The movie is a story of a girl who grows in jungle all alone after her parents were killed in some incident.

The girl grows amidst the animals in the jungle and had been living there since she was a baby girl. Animals are her parents, family and companions now. The movie takes a turn when she comes across a young man in the forest itself and falls in love with him. The role of the girl was enacted by Sahila Chadda who later did many movies like Veerana released in 1988, Jaan Lada Denge released in 1990 and Dharam Sankat released in 1991 among the others.
