Sheetla Mata was a mythological movie released in the year of 1981. The movie was directed by Rajpati and produced by Ram Gopal Gupta. The major roles in the movie were played by Satish Kaul, Bhagwan, Neera and Rajni Bala while the roles of Sudhir Dalvi, Birbal, C.S. Dubey, Pinchoo Kapoor and Rajnibala were equally important.

Sheetla Mata was a Hindu Mythological movie that revolved mostly around a woman and widow named Kunti. She was a poor lady who lived a poor life with her family consisting of her two sons Bhiku ( Sudhir Dalvi ) and Sarju ( Satish Kaul ). Both are married to their wives Bhagyawanti ( Rajnibala ) and Dayawanti ( Neera ) respectively. While Bhiku is the father of a daughter named Kamli, Dayawanti is expecting one soon. Bhiku is married for the second time as he has been married to someone who had set herself on fire earlier.

The movie starts when one night while sleeping Kunti gets a dream of Devi Maa Sheetla who tells her that she should dig up a land of Zamindar Rana ( Pinchoo Kapoor ) where an idol is buried. She was also required to build a temple after doing so. Kunti asks her sons to do the needful and thus goes to Zamindar’s place who refuses them.  Bhiku was refused to dig the land but Sarju managed to dig the land at night time. An argument ensues in which they were asked to move out and live with Teja Singh ( C.S. Dubey ).
