Bollywood action thriller flick, Sitapur Ki Geeta, directed by Shibu Mitra and written by Faiz Saleem was released in the year 1987. The movie starred Hema Malini and Chandrashekhar in lead roles while Shakti Kapoor, Shoma Anand, Amjad Khan, Raza murad, Om Shivpuri, Jayshree T. Pran, Yunus Parvez and Tej Sapru also played important roles in the film. The melodious hit music of the film was composed by the music director Om Prakash Sharma while the songs were rendered by Mohammed Aziz, Mahendra Kapoor, Dilraj Kaur etc.

Geeta Singh ( Hema Malini ) is living alongwith her younger brother, Karan Singh aka Munna ( Rajan Sippy ) in the village named Sitapur. Geeta did hardwork to send her brother to Mumbai for good education. She wants her brother to be a police inspector one day. Karan studies well there and soon returns as a police inspector in the village. But he get shocked to know that his sister is not living there anymore. Karan gets his first assignment of catching the bandits of sitapur.

But Karan gets shocked to learn that Geeta is also one of the bandit he has been asked to catch for. Geeta is now a notorious bandit and is famous with the name of ‘Maut’. He tries to catch her sister while performing a ‘loot’ in the village but fails. He then encounters with another bandit, who is none other than his foster father, Dharam Singh aka Dharmna ( Pran ). What will happen now?
