The production of the romantic drama Slumdog Millionaire is completed and will be releasing on January 23, 2009 under the banner of Celador Films. The movie is directed by Danny Boyle and produced by Christian Colson and Tessa Ross. The top roles in the movie are played by Anil Kapoor, Dev Patel, Irrfan Khan and Freida Pinto while the roles of Madhur Mittal and Imran Hasnee are also important. The music of the film is directed by A R Rahman and the songs are sung by Sukhwinder Singh, Mahalakshmi Iyer, Alka Yagnik, Ila Arun, Tanvi and Vijay Prakash.

Slumdog Millionaire is an inspirational drama produced by the director Danny Boyle. The story of the movie is about an eighteen-year-old orphan from the slums of Mumbai who is accused of cheating and want to prove his innocence at any cost. He participates in ‘Who Wants to Be a Millionaire’ in hopes of winning the 20 million rupees prize money. The story is about Jamal Malik ( Dev Patel ) who is a guy from slums and is living a harsh life.

This time Jamal is all set to grab the opportunity of winning the 20 million rupees and is just one answer away from the prize. Authorities could not believe that the kid from slums can win this much amount of money and thus is being interrogated. Jamal begins reflecting back on his childhood. Jamal and his older brother, Salim ( Madhur Mittal ), lived in squalor and lost their mother in an attack on Muslims. He became friends with Latika ( Freida Pinto ) who also lived in slums of the city.
