The production of the movie Srk is completed and will be releasing on October 24, 2008 under the banner of Warner Bros. The movie has been directed by Ajay Verma and includes the main roles by stars Vinay Pathak, Dilip Prabhawalkar, Rituparna Sengupta and Manoj Joshi.

No the movie does not revolve around Shahrukh Khan popularly called as SRK as you may have guessed, but is mostly about a character in the film named Shivaji Rao Khote ( Vinay Pathak ) in short SRK. He is quite popular among his friends and is called SRK only by them. He is living in Kerala and is a graduate in Economics. He works as a school teacher in Kerala. His family comprises of his beautiful wife Vidya ( Rituparna Sengupta ) and his young daughters. SRK feels that it is his insufficient job that is limiting him from enjoying his life and fulfilling his dreams.

SRK wanted to get famous and for this reason he left his job and decided to go to a big city where he would be able to achieve fame. But reverse happens, Vidya struggles to manage the household and SRK finds himself spending more money than what he earned. Vidya’s and SRK’s fathers try to help them so that he can do something more important. They decide to send him on a religious trip to Sabrimala where he would be able to learn his family responsibilities. But their plan misfires and SRK transforms into a sanyasi. He wanders in the city aimlessly and Vidya started sewing clothes for managing her household.
