The comedy movie Straight is presently under production but will be releasing on March 6, 2009 under the banner of iDream Productions. The movie is being directed by Parvati Balagopalan and produced by Shripal Morakhia and Charlotte Wontner. The significant roles in the movie are played by Vinay Pathak, Siddharth Makkar, Gul Panag and Achla Sachdev while Ketaki Dave and Anuj Chaudhary are also there in the film. Music of the film is directed by Sagar Desai and the background music is given by Louis Banks.

The story of the movie Straight is about an Indian Pinu ( Vinay Pathak ) who lived in central London and operated a successful Indian restaurant called ‘Gaylord’. Though he is a successful businessman, he views his life as a very insecure and under-confident man. Day his parents died in a plane crash, he lived with a Gujarati family that comprised of Jaisukh Kaka, his wife Kanta Kaki and Rajat, their only son. Pinu had many wishes in his heart from a very long time now.

First was that Pinu is a virgin and had never experienced intimacy with a woman. His biggest fear was to be laughed at by the people. He had no friends and the person he was ever close is Rajat. Rajat is quite dissimilar to him. Rajat is a confident and handsome man and the lead singer of a rock band. Pinu went to India to marry to a traditional Indian girl but he was dumped by her as she ran away with her boyfriend. Pinu was disheartened and returns to London pretending to his staff that his marriage went well. His life changes when he meets Renu ( Gul Panag ).
