Songs of Stumped
The drama Stumped was released on May 16, 2003 under the banners of Reel Life Entertainment Pvt Ltd and Popcorn Motion Pictures. The movie was directed by Gaurab Pandey and produced by Raveena Tandon and Priti Sinha. The top roles in the movie were played by Raveena Tandon, Viju Khote, Ali Khan and Anjan Srivastava while there were special appearances by Salman Khan and Mumait Khan. Music of the film was directed by Pritam Chakraborty and the songs were sung by K K, Shaan, Shankar Mahadevan, Anjan Srivastava and Shaswati.
The movie Stumped is a romantic love story between an army officer major Raghav Seth ( Ali Khan ) and his wife. The movie is set about the 1999 cricket world cup, time when the officer Ragahv is also fighting the war on the Kargil. The movie also explores the lives of his wife Reena ( Raveena ) and the cricket crazy residents of Happy Home Complex. Reena is waiting the return of her husband from the war front. The whole society is mad about cricket but the ones who are most excited are Mr. Khetrapal followed by Girish, Gautam and Bhola.
But there were some people who didn’t like the game at all. They were the secretary of Happy Home Complex, Mr. Subramaniam along with other resident, Laltoo Singh. Both are the members of the anti-cricket campaign. They once, even, cut the cable wire during an India-Sri Lanka match to teach others a lesson. A good man, Baba visits the housing complex and makes Girish and Deshpande realize the fact that these matches are insignificant to Raghav and the war he is fighting for them. The twist in the story comes when Reena gets news that Ragav is missing from the front while her neighbours were celebrating the win of their home team.
