The romantic drama Sun Zarra was released on February 24, 2006 under the banner of Aftab Pictures. The movie was directed by Rohit Nayyar and produced by Salim Akhtar. The actors in the lead roles were Samir Aftab, Renuka Shahane, Anjana Sukhani and Mithun Chakraborty. The music of the film had been directed by Sandesh Shandilya and the songs were sung by Amit Sana, Kumar Kancha, Neeraj Girdhar, Shreya Ghoshal and Sanjeevani.

The story of the movie Sun Zarra is based on the elements of romance and love that were considered to be sufficient to make the film hit, some point of time but in today’s era this thing is ancient. The movie revolves around Rohit ( Samir Aftab ) and Trisha ( Anjana Sukhani ) who didn’t know each other and even never thought that they would get involved in curious situations some day. They came from different states but had only one thing in common which was their liking for music. For Rohit music was something more, it was his dreams and passion.

Rohit had always wanted to become a great singer and to pursue his dreams he had come to Mumbai. He found shelter with a Bihari Babu named Gauri Shankar ( Mithun Chakravorty ). Gauri agreed to help him as he also came from the same place and can understand his struggle. Rohit started practicing and his neighbor happened to hear him on a regular basis. She was Trisha, a sweet girl who soon fell in love with the voice she kept hearing. But whenever they met, she always disliked him as she thought him to be a prankster. At some point of time, Rohit has to decide whom he loved more, his singing or Trisha.
