The family drama Swarg Se Sunder was released on February 28, 1986. The movie was directed by K Bapaiah and produced by K Ravi Shankar and A Krishnamoorthy. The important roles in the movie were enacted by Jeetendra, Mithun Chakraborty, Jaya Prada and Padmini Kolhapure while Kader Khan, Prem Chopra, Asrani¸ Aruna Irani and Shoma Anand were also there in the film. The music of the film was directed by Laxmikant Kudalkar and Pyarelal while the songs were sung by Kishore Kumar and Asha Bhosle.

The movie Swarg Se Sunder was a family flick that revolved mostly around a man named Vijay Choudhury ( Jeetendra ) who lived a comfortable life with his lovable wife Laxmi ( Jaya Prada ), and step-brother, Ravi ( Mithun Chakraborty ). They lived a pretty good life except the fact that Vijay and Laxmi have been married to each other for several years now but they have one problem that they don’t have any child. This was due to this fact Laxmi was humiliated by the others.

Laxmi was humiliated by all the people of Madhopur and this was despite the fact Vijay was the head of the village panchayat. After Ravi completes his M.A., he falls in love with the only daughter, Lalita ( Padmini Kolhapure ), of Milawatram ( Kader Khan ) and Bandharlekha. The two families were now facing the problems of misunderstanding and this started creating problems from both sides. The movie takes a turn when both Lalita and Laxmi got pregnant while only one of whom can give birth.
