The action and patriotic movie Tahalka was released on August 7, 1992. The movie was directed by Anil Sharma and produced by K C Sharma. The top roles in the movie were enacted by Dharmendra, Shammi Kapoor, Naseruddin Shah, Ekta and Aditya Pancholi while Amrish Puri, Mukesh Khanna, Pallavi Joshi and Javed Jaffrey were also there in the film. The music of the film was directed by Anu Malik and the songs were sung by Anuradha Paudwal, Sudesh Bhosle, Kumar Sanu, Anwar, Amrish Puri, Mohammad Aziz and Babla Mehta.

Tahalka was an action cum patriotic movie that was a huge hit of its time and was liked by almost everyone. The movie starts with the yacht trip of the Indian army Major Krishna Rao ( Mukesh Khanna ) with his daughter Dolly, he observes a girl in distress and thus goes to rescue her. But what he finds out there was that dozens of girls were kidnapped by General Dong ( Amrish Puri ). Though he managed to rescue the girls, he cuts his ankle and gives him a year to return to rescue his own daughter.

Major Krishna then starts using the help of artificial limb and when he returns to India he finds that Dong has murdered General Sinha ( Parikshat Sahni ). Brigadier Kapoor ( Shammi Kapoor ) then arranges a small unit of captains Anju Sinha ( Ekta Kapoor ), Rakesh ( Aditya Pancholi ), Ranbir Chauhan ( Naseeruddin Shah ), and Javed ( Javed Jaffrey ) to catch Dong. But what they missed was the help of Ex-Major Dharam Singh ( Dharmendra ) without whose help they cant do anything.
