Bollywood action thriller, Takshak, written and directed by Govind Nihalani was released on December 3, 1999. The movie starred Ajay Devgan and Tabu in lead roles while Amrish puri, Rahul Bose, Nethra Taghuaman, Govind Namdev, A. K. Hangal, Anupam Shyam and Vinit Kumar also played importanat characters in the film. The melodious music of the movie was directed by none other than oscar award winner, A. R. Rehman while the sonsg were rendered by Sukhwinder Singh, Roop Kumar rathod, Shankar mahadevan, Alisha Chinoi, Hema Sardesai etc.

Ishaan Singh ( Ajay Devgan ), is the son of Nahar Singh, who has sworn to protect underworld don Jodhabhai and his family. Nahar wants his son to do the same. Nahar wants Ishaan to do work for Jodhabhai’s son, Sunny ( Rahul Bose ). Ishaan agrees do so and joins Sunny’s gang. Sunny treats him like his best friend and soon they both becomes fast friends. Ishaan meets with a beautiful girl named Suman dev ( Tabu ) and instantly falls in love with her.

Suman witnesses the incident in which Sunny’s car being driven from the scene of a multiple homicide. Suman decides to tell this to police and becomes the prime witness of the case. When Sunny learns about this, he asks Ishaan to stop Suman from doing all this. But Ishaan fails to covince Suman for this. Sunny then ask Ishaan to choose one betwee him and Suman. And of course being a true lover, Ishaan choses Suman. What will happen next?
