Taqdeer Ka Badshah was an action thriller that was released on December 3, 1982. The movie was directed by B Subhash and produced by Ram Dayal. The main roles in the movie were played by Mithun Chakraborty, Suresh Oberoi, Ranjeeta and Tamanna while the presence of Amjad Khan, Vijay Arora, Pran and Amrish Puri supported the film. The music of the film was directed by Bappi Lahiri while the songs were sung by Kishore Kumar and Lata Mangeshkar.

He made his debut as a hero with the movie Mrigaya released in 1976. The female lead in the film was played by Ranjeeta who acted in movies like Meri Biwi Ki Shaadi released in 1979, Pati Patni Aur Who released in 1980 and Do Qaidi released in 1989 while her debut film was Laila Majnu released in 1976.
