Taqdeerwala was a comedy movie released on May 12, 1995. The movie was directed by K Murali Mohan Rao and was produced by D Rama Naidu. The major roles in the movie were played by Venkatesh, Raveena Tandon, Kader Khan and Reema Lagoo while Asrani, Shakti Kapoor and Laxmikant Berde had some nice roles. The music of the film was given by Anand Chitragupt and Milind Chitragupt and the singers were Udit Narayan, Alka Yagnik, Abhijeet and Kumar Sanu. The story writer was Krishna Reddy.

The story is about Suraj ( Venkatesh ) who wants to become rich to give his mother ( Reema Lagoo ) all the worldly pleasures. One day Suraj finds a book named Akashwani which showed the future like the lottery numbers, death dates etc. The book had actually fallen from heaven. Yamraj ( Kader Khan ) and Chitragupt ( Asrani ) were sent to earth to find the book. Meanwhile Suraj becomes very wealthy with the help of the book.

Suraj gets shocked to see her mother’s death date in the book and pretends to marry Lilly ( Raveena Tandon ) offering her money to fulfill his mothers last wish. To his surprise his mother lived as Yamraaj had blessed her 50 years of more life when she had fed Yamraaj. Anupam Kher as Inspector and Shakti Kapoor as Choote Ravan were hilarious. The movie shows a son’s concern for his mother’s life. One will surly laugh a lot.
