Bollywood action thriller, Tarazu, directed by Vimal Kumar was released on August 1, 1987. The movie starred Akshay Kumar and Sonali Bendre in lead roles while Amrish Puri, Mohnish Behl and Kader Khan also played important roles in the film. The music of the film was given by famous music director, Rajesh Roshan and the songs were sung by Udit Narayan, Kumar Sanu, Alka Yagnik, Sadhna Sargam, Kavita Krishnamurthy and Ila Arun. The movie did well at the box office and recieved appreciation of audience as well as critics.

The movie starts with a honest police officer, Ram Yadav ( Akshay Kumar ). He lives with his elder brother, Raj ( Anil Dhawan ) and his wif named Shakuntala ( Shashi Sharma ). He is in love with a beautiful girl, pooja ( Sonali Bendre ) and planning to marry her soon. Ram investigate about the illegal activities of a renowned person named Appa rao ( Amrish Puri ) and warns him to leave all his criminal activities. Appa seeks for an oppurtunity to harm Ram and his family.

Appa’s spoiled son, Janardan ( Mohnish Behl ), kills a college girl in front of several students but no one opposes him. When Ram comes to know about this incident he immediately arrests Janardan. Thsi step of Ram create more anger in Appa Rao and he makes a very cruel plan against Ram. What is his plan? How Ram will save himself and his family from Appa Rao’s cruel intentions?
