Bollywood action packed thriller flick, Tarkieb, directed by Esmayeel Shroff was released on June 23, 2000. The movie starred Nana Patekar and Tabu in lead roles while Shilpa Shetty, Aditya pancholi, Akhilendra Mishra, Milind Soman, Raghuvir Yadav, Meghna Tiwari, Shantanu Mukherjee and Tiku Talsani also played significant characters in the film. The melodious music of the movie was given by the music director aadesh srivastava and Sanjay Chaudhary in collaboration while the songs were sung by Vinod Rathod, Shantanu Mukherjee, Richa Sharma etc.

The movie starts with a women, who finds a ‘hand’ which comes out from the water while she was washing clothes there. She get scared by this and calls police. Police arrives there and after some investigation manage to find the several other the parts of the body. Police learns that the body parts are of a young women. But the problem is that the head of the body is still missing and police afils to locate it. Inspector Pyare Mohan ( Deepak Qazir ) is then assigned the case and he starts his investigation. He starts getting threatning telephone calls from an unknown person.

CBI officer Jasraj Patel ( Nana Patekar ) is then also assigned the case. His investigation bring him on the conclusion that the dead body was of a woman named Roshni Chaubey ( Tabu ). Jasraj learns that Roshni was from a poor family and was romantically involved with a guy named Kamal Dogra ( Ashutosh Rana ), who is a doctor by profession. Situation gets even confusing when he reveals that she was also involved with three other guys as well.
