Yesteryear classic, Teesri Manzil, directed by Vijay Anand was released in the year 1966. The movie starred Shammi Kapoor and Asha Parekh in lead roles while Prem Chopra, Premnath and Helen also played significant characters in the movie. The music of the film was given by famous music director R. D. Burman and the songs were sung by Mohammed Rafi and Asha Bhonsle. The movie recieved good response from the audience and went on to become one of the biggest hit of that year.

The movie starts with Anil Kumar aka Sona ( Shammi Kapoor ), who works as a musician named Rocky at a five star hotel. One night a young women named Roopa commits suicides by jumping from the third floor of the hotel. Roop’s younger sister Sunita ( Asha Parekh ) believes that her sister has commited suicide because of Rocky. She plans to take revenge from the guy. But she has no clue that Anil is actually Rocky. Anil and Sunita falls in love with each other.

Anil doesn’t know how to tell Sunita that he himself is rocky. Police reveals that Roopa dids’t commit suicide and infact she was forcefully thrown out from the third floor. The only clue available is an expensive shirt button which was present in her clenched hand when Police took her dead body away. Now it is hard to say who is the killer of Roppa, his fiancee Ramesh ( Prem Chopra ), a dancer ( Ruby ( Helen) or Anil?
