The action thriller movie The Perfect Murder was released in the year of 1988. The movie was directed by Zafar Hai and produced by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and Wahid Chauhan. The lead roles in the movie were played by Naseruddin Shah, Vivek Vaswani, Archana Puran Singh and Jankidas while the presence of Amjad Khan, Anu Kapoor, Dalip Tahil, Johny Walker and Mohan Agashe supported the film. The music of the film was directed by Richard Robins, Zakir Hussain and Ustad Sultan Khan.

The Perfect Murder was an action cum thriller movie that dealt with the lives of modern people in their daily lives. The story of the movie revolves mostly around Police Inspector Ghote who lives a middle class life with his wife Pratima Ghote ( Ratna Pathak ) in Bombay. He has worked for many years now with the Bombay police and was satisfied with his job, although there was someone who was not satisfied with his job.

It was Ghote’s wife who wanted to live a better life. There was a murder that took place in the city and he was appointed to investigate the case of this Parsi man named Perfect. Perfect was the Secretary of Lala Heera Lal who is a wealthy man with underworld links. Inspector Ghote commences his investigation and was displeased when his superiors asking him to work with a Swedish Forensic Expert by the name of Axel Svennson ( Stellan ). Axel was thrilled to see the working of the Bombay police.
