The thriller movie Trikaal was released in the year of 1985. The movie was directed by Shyam Benegal and produced by Freni M Variava and Lalit M Bijlani. The top roles in the movie were played by Leela Naidu, Neena Gupta, Anita Kanwar and Soni Razdan while the roles of Dalip Tahil, K K Raina, Kunal Shashi Kapoor, Keith Stevenson and Salim Ghouse were equally important. The music of the film was directed by Laxmikant Kudalkar and Pyarelal while the songs were sung by Shabbir Kumar, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Asha Bhosle and Anuradha Paudwal.

The movie Trikaal was a usual flick that revolved mostly around a woman named Dona Maria Souzasoares ( Leela Naidu ) who lived a wealthy lifestyle in post independent Portuguese-occupied Goa with her family consisting of her husband Ernesto and daughter Silvia ( Anita Kanwar ). Silvia has two daughters Aurora ( Soni Razdan ) and Anna and lived with her husband named Lucio. There was one more person named Milagrenia ( Neena Gupta ) living in the house.

Milagrenia was Ernesto’s illegitimate daughter and was a maid servant in the house. When Ernesto passes away, Maria is beside herself with grief and seeks the help of Milagrenia to speak with her late husband’s spirit, but instead ends up summoning the vengeful spirit of Vijay Singh Rane, who was beheaded at the behest of Ernesto’s maternal grandfather in place of Kustoba Rane ( Kulbhushan Kharbanda ). Anna gets married to Erasmo, who is studying medicine.
