The romantic movie Tumsa Nahin Dekha was released on September 24, 2004 under the banner of Saregama-HMV. The movie was directed by Anurag Basu and produced by Mukesh Bhatt. The significant roles in the film were played by Emraan Hashmi, Anupam Kher, Dia Mirza and Sharat Saxena while the roles of Surekha Sikri and Uday Tikekar were also important. Music of the film was directed by Dj Aqeel and the songs were sung by Roop Kumar Rathod, Shaan, Udit Narayan, Shreya Ghosal and Sonu Nigam.

Tumsa Nahin Dekha is Anurag Basu’s third production after the flop movie “Saaya” and the hit movie “Murder” and it is his third movie with the Bhatt camp too. The movie was earlier going to be named as “Zaroorat” and is a conventional love story different than Basu’s earlier supernatural and erotic stories. The plot of the movie is no different but there is a twist in the story that will keep you hooked. The story of the movie revolves around a rich guy named Daksh Mittal ( Emraan Hashmi ) who had everything with him but love.

Daksh needed love in his life and solace was provided to him by alcohol. The only person he trusted and respected wasa his butler John Uncle ( Anupam Kher ) who is more like a friend to him. Someday he comes across a beautiful girl trying to steal an item from a departmental store. From that very instant he found himself attracted towards her. The girl Jia ( Dia Mirza ) works as a striptease dancer in a club. Circumstances required Daksh to marry a high society girl Anhaita Madhwani ( Pooja Bharti ).
