The movie U Me Aur Hum was released on April 11, 2008 under the banners of Devgan Entertainment Software Ltd. and Eros Entertainment. The movie comes under the genre of romance and is directed and produced by Ajay Devgan. The actors in the main roles are Ajay Devgan, Kajol, Isha Sharwani, Karan Khanna, Divya Dutta and Sumeet Raghavan. The music of the film has been directed by Vishal Bharadwaj while the songs of the film were sung by Adnan Sami, Shreya Ghosal, Sunidhi Chauhan and Vishal Bharadwaj. The film raises a good issue of commitment.

U Me Aur Hum was the first film of Ajay Devgan as a director and had put in a great effort. As the name of the movie suggests, the film is about both the people who are in love and not about a single person. The main characters of the film Ajay ( Ajay Devgan ) and Piya ( Kajol ) met on a cruise where she worked as a waitress and Ajay, a psychiatrist was enjoying his holidays with his friends. Their first interaction was when she served him with drinks but it was love at first sight for him which affected him more than the alcohol. He drank a lot and made a complete fool of himself. Piya is a sweet girl who respects love more than anything and feels that without love, the marriage is incomplete.

In the love story that began on sea Ajay was not alone and was accompanied by Nikhil ( Sumeet Raghavan ) and Reena ( Divya Dutta ) who were unhappy married couples, while Vicky ( Karan Khanna ) and Natasha ( Isha Sharwani ) were happy but unmarried. Ajay wanted to forget his first meeting and show his love to her. He tried everything that he can to impress her and in the end it was his determination that won her. But the couple was still to experience problems. Piya was also suffering from Alzheimer’s.
