Bollywood movie, Uljhan, directed by Rajan Johri and written by Sayed Sultan was released on May 4, 2001. The movie starred Puru Rajkumar and Dipti Bhatnagar in lead role while Laxmiknat Berde, Vivek Mushran, Shakti Kapoor, Kanchan, Rakesh Bedi, Alok Nath, Mukhtar Khan and Shashikala also played significant characters in the film. The hit melodious music of the movie was composed by the well knwon music director Aadesh Srivastava while the songs were rendered by Kumar Sanu, Udit Narayan, Abhijeet, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Alka Yagnik and Lata Mangeshkar.

The movie starts with a guy named Varun ( Puru Rajkumar ), who lives a wealthy lifestyle alongwith his grandmother and a brother named Prashant ( Vivek Mushran ). Varun is in love with a girl named Anjali mathur ( Dipti Bhatnagar ) and wants to get married with her only. He tells this to his grandmother, who arranges for their marraige. But Anjali refuse to get married with him as she is in love with Prashant. Varun and Anjali meets with an accident. However, Anjali walks away with minor injuries.

But Varun get injured very badly and needs to have performed plastic surgery for regaining his face once again. Anjali then takes a good care of him in hospital and soon starts getting attracted towards him. Within no time, she also falls in love with him. Varun is dischanrged from hospital and he get married with Anjali. Prashant disappears from their life. But problem arises when Varun starts suspecting Anjali for having an extramarital affair with Prashant.
