Ulta Seedha was a comedy movie released in the year of 1985. The movie was directed as well as produced by Subodh Mukherjee. The key roles in the movie were enacted by Raj Babbar, Deven Verma, Rati Agnihotri and Madan Puri while Dinesh Thakur, Agha, Utpal Dutt, Aruna Irani, Shobha Khote and Dalip Tahil were also there in the film. The music of the film was directed by Rajesh Roshan while the songs were sung by Asha Bhosle, Kishore Kumar and Lata Mangeshkar.

Ulta Seedha was a comic film that revolved mostly around a man named Justice M.K. Roy ( Utpal Dutt ). He is an orthodox and narrow minded person. Being a traditional man he was unable to figure why today’s youth was so much careless about everything. Since he was a man of morals, he had also given these values to his daughter Shobha ( Rati Agnihotri ) and has grown with the same traditions and values. He now hopes to get her married to a good household.

MK Roy had various expectations for his daughter but the twist in the movie comes when Shobha falls in love with a young guy of today’s time named Ramesh Saxena ( Raj Babbar ). He had no respect whatsoever for the old traditions and lives his life in present. He was jobless but Shobha wanted to get married to him at any cost. Roy pose a condition before he could marry Shobha and it was he should get a job and start respecting the traditions and morals.
