Vansh was a thriller movie released on January 24, 1992. The movie was directed and produced by Pappu Verma. The key roles in the movie were played by Siddharth, Priyanka, Sudesh Berry and Ektaa Behl while the roles of Kader Khan, Anupam Kher, Amrish Puri and Reema Lagoo were equally important. The music of the film was directed by Anand Chitragupt and Milind Chitragupt while the songs were sung by S.P.Balasubramaniam, Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhosle, Suresh Wadkar and Kavita Krishnamurthy.

The movie features the two male leads Siddharth and Sudesh Berry in the top roles. However the movie happens to be the remake of south film directed by Mani Ratnam titled ‘Agni Nakshatram’. The story of the movie is bit confusing and revolves around a CBI chief who has two wives.

The officer has two sons each from his two wives. One of the son is a police officer Siddharth ( Siddharth ) whereas the other is a gangster Gautam ( Sudesh Berry ). The twist in the movie comes when there is rise in the crimes in the city. The police officer’s prime suspect is his brother who has also earned lot of respect as a gangster. Then their father is kidnapped by the criminals, one day, and now both the brothers should unite to rescue him and fight the gangsters.
