The action movie Veergati was released on September 29, 1995. The movie was directed by K K Singh and the producers were Babu Latiwala and K K Singh. The major roles were played by Salman Khan, Atul Agnhihotri, Kulbhusan Kharbanda and Tinu Anand. Other roles were played by Farida Jalal, Pooja Dandwal and Sudesh Berry. The music of the movie was directed by Aadesh Shrivastav. The singers were Kumar Sanu, Poornima, Bela Sulakhe and Sadhana Sargam.

In the movie Havaldar ( Kulbushan Kharbanda ) adopts an orphan Ajay ( Salman Khan ). A prostitute wanted his child live a normal life and thus requested Havaldar to give his child Shlok ( Atul Agnihotiri ) father’s name so that his future does not end in darkness. Havaldar’s wife does not accept this and leaves him. Shlok loved Pooja ( Pooja Dadwal ) but her father wanted her to get married to the person who could secure her future.

Ajay promises Pooja’s dad that Shlok will be rich soon. Thus he turns into a gambler winning lot of money. Shlok’s mother ( Himani Shivpuri ) stops Ajay from helping Shlok. Ajay’s success in gambling earns him a rival Ikka ( Akhilendra Mishra ) who wanted him killed, as Ajay was also obstructing Ikka’s prostitution business. Thus Ajay decides to clean the society by killing Ikka and his men.The move has some good action.
