The action film Veeru Dada was released on July 27, 1990. The movie was directed by K R Reddy and produced by Ram Babu. The main roles in the movie were played by Dharmendra, Anu Kapoor, Amrita Singh and Aditya Pancholi while the presence of Suresh Joshi and Sadashiv Amrapurkar supported the film. The music of the film was directed by Laxmikant Kudalkar and Pyarelal while the songs were sung by Amit Kumar, Asha Bhosle, Lata Mangeshkar, Sudesh Bhosle, Alka Yagnik and Mohammad Aziz.

As suggested by the name of the film Veeru Dada, the movie was an action movie revolving around widower Chandrakant ( Kulbhushan Kharbanda ) who lives a poor life in a village with his daughter Rekha ( Farha Naaz ). She runs yoga classes and her father is a watchman with Jaidev. Jaidev has two brothers Mahadev ( Amrit Pal ) and Shahdev ( Pradeep Chaudhry ). One night when Mahadev returns home, he was shocked to find that Jaidev and his family was killed.

Mahadev reports the incident to the police who arrests Chandrakant and tries him in the court. He was then imprisoned and sentenced a life imprisonment. Rekha then meets with wealthy Amit Anand ( Aditya Pancholi ) and both fall in love. But the problem with their marriage was that his father wanted a sum of Rs 50 lakhs as dowry which she was unable to give. She was helped by Veeru ( Dharmendra ) who was wanted by the police. He makes her his sister and arranged the amount for her.
