Former air hostess and bollywood sizzling actress, Vidya Malvade, made her acting debut with a phsychological thriller Intehaa in which she was co-starred by Ashmit Patel and beautiful Nauheed Cyrusi. She was married to Capt. Arvind Singh Bagga, who died in a severe plane crash. After starting her career with a flop movie, she then starred in Mashooka which also resulted in a very bad way at the box office window. She then turned towards doing some tv commercials and also did modelling for some time.

Her first breakthrough came in the form of last year released superhit movie, Chak De India in which she acted opposite king Shahrukh Khan. She played the role of the captain of Indian women’s national hockey team. The movie did well for her career and she got several film assigment because of the success of the movie. She was last seen opposite Sanjay Dutt in action thriller Kidnap. However, she played the role of Minissha Lamba’s mother in the movie while Imraan Khan played the lead role of kidnapper in the movie.
