Bollywood action thriller, Vinashak- Destroyer, starring Suniel Shetty and Raveena Tandon in lead roles was released on 30 january 1998. The movie was written and directed by Ravi Dewan. the other starcast of the film includes Danny Denzongpa, Mukesh Rishi, Mohan Joshi, Tinnu Anand, Alok Nath, Om Puri, Brijesh tripathi, Shivaji Satham and Satendra Kapoor in important roles. the music of the film was given by the music director duo Amar-Viju while teh songs were rendered by Udit Narayan, Amit Kumar, Roop Kumar Rathod, Sadhana Sargam, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Sudesh Bhonsle and Poornima.

Jailer Lankeshwar ( Danny Denzongpa ) is a corrupt person who uses the jailed criminals for his illegal work of weapon trading. Inspector Arjun Singh ( Suniel Shetty ) is assigned by Minister to collect clues against Lankeshwar on the request of ACP Amar Agnihotri ( Mohan Joshi ). ACP plans his death from Arjun’s hand so that Arjun can easily enter in the Jail of Lankeshwar. According to their plan, Arjun was supposed to shoot ACP Amar with a blank bullet. Arjun Singh is sentenced to Lankeshwar’s jail and there he starts his investigation. Soon Arjun collects evidences against Lankeshwar.

After collecting enough clues for proving Lankeshwar guilty, Arjun Singh tries to contact with ACP Amar. But he get shocked with the news that ACP Amar Agnihotri was actually killed by the bullet shot down by Arjun. Arjun learns that ACP Amar has been killed by him in reality and this all was planned by Lankeshwar and the minister. Now Arjun is actually a murderer and he has none whom he can trust. How Arjun will prove his innocence and how will he prove ACP Amar’s murder a mistake?
