Vishkanya was an action movie released in 1991. The movie was produced by Bashir Babbar, Solila Parida, Suresh and Umesh Shama and was directed by Jagmohan Mundhra. The top roles in the movie were played by Pooja Bedi, Kunal Goswami, Satish Kaushik and Bharat Kapoor. Other good roles were played by Vikas Anand, Riya Sen and Kabir Bedi. The music of the movie was directed by Bappi Lahiri while the singers were Pankaj Udhas, Alka Yagnik and Pinaz Masani. The lyric writer was Syed Gulrez.

As the name of the story speaks it all, it’s about a girl who can kill people with her bite because of poison in her body. In the movie Zorawar and his partner got killed in a strange way. Inspector Rakesh Verma ( Kunal Goswami ) gets the responsibility to find the killer and the reason behind the killings. He starts with the investigation and finds that they were associated with the underworld and they have two friends and their life is in danger too.

Rakesh provides police protection to the remaining Durjan Singh ( Goga Kapoor) and Lala Lachiram. He finds out that they had a rivalry with Trilokchand ( Akash Khurana ) and Wali Khan. But on investigating more he finds them clear but is suspicious about a girl who has been fed poison since childhood and can be the killer. The question remains who this girl is and why she’s after Lala and Thakur. The movie’s title fully supports its concept and was different from the common Indian love stories.
