Bollywood multistarrer action thriller, Vishwatma, directed by Rajiv Rai was released on January 24, 1992. the movie starred Sunny Deol, Naseeruddin Shah, Chunky Pandey and Divya Bharti in lead roles while Sonam, Amrish Puri, Raza murad, Dalip ahil, Jyotsana Singh, Gulshan Grover, Sharat Saxena, Tej Sapru, Alok nath, Kiran Kumar and Mahesh Anand also played important roles in the film. The superhit music of the film was given by Viju Shah while the songs were rendered by Amit Kumar, Mohammed Aziz, Sadhana Sargam, Sapna Mukherjee, Udit Narayan, Alka Yagnik etc. The movie was a a big box office hit.

The movie starts with Police inspector Prabhat Singh ( Sunny Deol ), who is assigned for a secret mission. Prabhat requests his officials to send a criminal named Aakash Bhardwaj ( Chunky Pandey ) alongwith him to which they agrees. Prabhat and Aakash arrives Kenya in search of criminal Azghar Jhorat ( Amrish Puri ), who is living a white color life there. Prabhat and aakash starts collecting evidence against Azghar so that they can present those evidence in front of Kenya police. But an honest police officer, Surya Pratap Singh ( Naseeruddin Shah ), makes it difficlut for them to complete their task easily.

Surya Pratap singh is ordered to make Prabhat and Akash abide by the Kenyan laws. Surya Pratap Singh believes that Azghar is a very nice person and is not involved in any criminal activites. But soon Prabhat and Aakash manages to collect the evidences against Azghar and they shows it to surya as well. Surya also decides to join the two is capturing Azghar but before they could plan something dangerous, Azghar plays a dirty game and kills Prabhat and Aakash in a plane accident.
