Bollywood action thriller, Vishwavidhaata, directed by farooq Siddique and written by Talat Rekhi was released in the year 1997. The movie starred Jackie Shroff and Ayesha Jhulka in lead roles while Sharad kapoor, Rakesh bedi, Pooja batra, Mushtaq Khan, Arjun, Aashish Vidhyarthi, Avtar Gill, Anil Nagrath and Vikas Anand also played important characters in the film. The melodious music of the movie was directed by the well knwon music director A. R. Rehman while the songs were rendered by Hariharan, S. P. Balasubramaniam, Udit Narayan, Kavita Krishnamurthy etc.

The movie starts with a guy named Jai Verma ( Sharad Kapoor ), who is being accused of having connection with a terrorist group. Jai tries to prove his innocence in the court but fails. He then decides to escape from the jail and relocates in Sharjah. With the help of a surgeon named Dr. Roy ( Vikas Anand ), he takes a new face and a new identity of Ajay Khanna ( Jackie Shroff ). He then returns to India and try to live a normal life once again. He meets with her old girlfriend, Radha ( Ayesha Jhulka ) and get married to her.

Years later, Ajay and Radha are the proud parents of a son named Ravi, who exactly looks like his father before the plastic surgery. But his resemblence to his father’s face create problems for him as he is recognized by both police as well as by gangsters. Ravi is now on a run from them. He get shocked to reveal that his mother had an affair with Jai in the past. Now he decides to confront his mother about this and it is then Ajay interferes.
