Bollywood comic action thriller, Waqt Hamara Hai, directed by Bharat Rangachary was released on June 23, 1993. The movie starred Akshay Kumar, Suneil Shetty and Mamta Kulkarni in lead roles while Ayesha Jhulka, Anupam Kher, Aruna Irani, Tiku Talsani and Rami Reddy also played important roles in the film. The music of the film was given by Nadeem-Shravan while the songs of the movie were sung by Udit Narayan, Kumar Sanu, Alka Yagnik, Vinod Rathod, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Mohammed Aziz and Asha Bhonsle. The movie did average business at the box office.

The movie starts with two guys, Vikas Sabkuchwala ( Akshay Kumar ) and Suneil Chaudhary ( Suneil Chaudhary ) who are studying in the same college. Both in start always tries to insult each other resulting in a fight. But after that fight, both becomes close friends. Vikas and Suneil are in love with two sister, Ayesha Vidrohi ( Ayesha Jhulka ) and Mamta Vidrohi ( Mamta Kulkarni ) respectively and planning to get married with them. But her father, Tejesh Raj Vidrohi ( Tiku Talsania ) wants well placed son-in-law for her daughters. On the contrary, Vikas’s father Deinanath Sabkuchwala ( Anupam Kher ) also wants a huge amount of money in dowry.

The four lovebirds then decides to play a drama in which Vikas and Ayesha is supposed to be kidnapped by some goons andthen they will ask for extortion money. But unfortunately, Vikas and Ayesha actually get kidnapped by some terrorists who wants some thing else in return of the two. Terrorist Colonel Chikara ( Rami Reddy ) is assigned for killing Minister Ram Gopal Verma ( Sudhir Dalvi ).
