Bollywood action movie, Wardaat, directed by Ravikant Nagaich was released on April 24, 1981. The movie starred Mithun Chakraborthy and Kaajal Kiran in lead roles while Iftekhar, Shakti Kapoor, Jagdeep, Kalpana Iyer, Birbal and Keshto Mukherjee also played important characters in the film. The melodious music of the movie was directed by the well known music director Bappi Lahiri while the songs were rendered by Mohammed Rafi, Usha Mangeshkar, Usha Uthap and Annette Pinto.

The movie starts with agent Gunmaster G-9 ( Mithun Chakraborthy ), who is assigned the task of revealing the truth behind the hefty damages resulted because of large locusts attack on the farmers and farmlands. G-9 starts his investigation and soon finds himself in the custody of some unknown criminals. He manage to escape from their custody but when he returns to the same place again, he get shocked to see no one present there. He then once again begins his investigation.

His investigation brings him to some scientists who are capable of destroying the nature to an extent. He is determined to stop these scientists from becoming a big problem for the Indian government. But the problem is that he needs time for this and those scientists are in no mood to provide any time to him.
