Bollywood romantic flick, Wrong Number, directed by Jignesh V. Vaishnav and written by Rakesh Prasad was released on December 12, 2003. The movie starred Rakesh Bapat and Richa Pallod in lead roles while Parvin Dabas, Vrajesh Hirjee, Tinnu Anand, Benjamin Gilani, Yash Tonk, Rinku Ghosh and Tej Sapru also played important characters in the film. The melodious music of the movie was directed by the music director Daboo Malik while the songs were rendered by Kumar Sanu, Babul Supriyo, Abhijeet, Daboo Malik, Anuradha Paudwal and Sunidhi Chauhan.

Young and beautiful, Mahi Mathur ( Richa Pallod ) is a fun loving girl, who always plays pranks with her friends. One night she alongwith her friend decides to play a telephone trick by randomly picking up a phone number from the Bombay Telephone Directory. She calls on a number which is recieved by a guy named Raj ( Rakesh Bapat ). Mahi finds it interesting to talk to Raj and continue to talk with him often. She then ask him to meet at a nearby restuarant. They meets and Mahi apolozies for the wrong number.

Mahi and Raj then continues to meet and soon they both fall in love with each other. But problem arises when mahi’s friend, Aarti ( Rinku Ghosh ) also falls in love with Raj. She tries to seduce Raj but fails. Things started changing suddenly when Aarti is killed by someone. Police suspects Raj for the murder but because of lack of evidence he is released by the police. The case is then assigned to a police officer named Yash ( Yash Tonk ).
