Bollywood romantic flick, Yaara Dildara, directed by Humayun Mirza was released in the year 1981. The movie starred Aashif Sheikh and Ruchika Pandey in lead roles while Shakti Kapoor, Rohini Hattangadi, Saeed Jaffrey, Amjad Khan, Ashok Saraf and Kadar Khan also played important characters in the film. The hit romantic music of the movie was directed by the well knwon music director duo Jatin Lalit while the songs were beautifully crooned by Nitin Mukesh, Udit Narayan, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Sadhana Sargam etc.

The movie starts with a young and handsome guy ( Aashif Sheikh ), who belongs to a welthy family. He meets with a poor girl ( Ruchika Pandey ) and instantly falls in love with her. Ruchika too falls in love with him. But the local goon ( Shakti Kapoor ) also loves Ruchika and wants to get married with her. He reveals about Ruchika’s affair with Aashif and decides to kill him. They both fights badly but in the end Aashif wins. Shakti is arrested by police and is sent to jail.

Now Aashif and Ruchika thinks that they are free to get married. But problem arises once again, when Aashif’s mother, ( Rohini Hattangadi ) refuse to accept a poor girl as her daughter-in-law. She ask Aashif to foirget about her but he simply refuses to it and decides to leave the house immediately. His father also moves out of the house alongwith his son.
