Yahaan was a love triangle movie released on July 29, 2005 under the banners of Sahara One and Redice Films Production. The movie was directed by Shoojit Sircar and produced by Robby Grewal and Gary Grewal. The top roles in the film were played by Jimmy Shergill, Yashpal Sharma, Minissha Lamba and Mukesh Tiwari while the roles of Gyan Prakash and Dolly Ahluwalia were also important. Music of the film was directed by Nizami Bandhu and the songs were sung by Shreya Ghosal, Akshay, Shaan and Tara.

Yahaan is the debut movie not only for the director Shoojit Sircar but also for the beautiful actress Minissha Lamba. The movie is the tale of mystery and romance and has been shot in Kashmir just like the previous two movies “Mission Kashmir” and “Sheen”. The story of the movie Yahaan is about an Indian Army captain Aman ( Jimmy Shergill ) who falls in love with the local girl Adaa ( Minissha Lamba ) of the Heaven on Earth, Kashmir. In return, Adaa also liked his character and sincerity.

The love that dwelled between them provided Adaa the strength to fight for her love against the might of the Indian Army, the bureaucracy and the militants. They try to love each other against the backdrop of Kashmir set on violence. Adaa was motivated by Aman’s love, warmth and care that she stood tall for her rights and against all odds. It was the power of their love that they stood against the odds and thus got what they desired. Through the film, director also wants to display the right image of the place Kashmir and reveal all the myths related to it.
