The romantic thriller movie Yakeen was released on June 1, 2005 under the banners of Shreya Creations and P R Films. The movie was directed by Girish Dhamija and produced by Sujit Kumar Singh. The major roles in the film were played by Arjun Rampal, Kim Sharma and Priyanka Chopra while the roles of Saurabh Shukla and Anang Desai were also important. Music of the film was directed by Himesh Reshammiya and the songs were sung by Udit Narayan, Sonu Nigam, Alka Yagnik and Shreya Ghosal.

The movie Yakeen is the directorial debut of Girish Dhamija who progressed to be a director from being a dialogue writer for the Bhatt camp. The movie casts the not so famous pair of Arjun Rampal and Priyanka Chopra but they would be hoping to blaze the screen this time. The movie revolves around Nikhil ( Arjun Rampal ) who is a young and smart business entrepreneur living in Himachal and is married to a beautiful charming lady Simar ( Priyanka Chopra ). They were living an ideal life and were happy together.

Though the couple stayed happy together but they lacked the closeness that a married couple shares which is a sign of an ideal bonding. The major turn in the story comes when the couple met a car crash and the car came streaming down the hill. While Simar escaped with minor cuts and wounds, Nikhil had to be hospitalized. His recovery was slow and also painful. Simar tries her best to make him recover completely and thus she started filling the gap that had been there between them. Nikhil seemed to enjoy every moment but he also faced some terrifying moments.
