The action movie Yari Dushmani was released on August 22, 1980. The movie was directed by Sikander Khanna and produced by Som Dutt. The key roles in the movie were enacted by Sunil Dutt, Amjad Khan, Reena Roy and Shakti Kapoor while Daljit K, Roopesh K, Jankidas, Nandita Thakur, Agha, Gulshan Bawra and Bharat Bhushan were also there in the movie. The music of the film was directed by Laxmikant Kudalkar and Pyarelal while the songs were sung by Kishore Kumar Ganguly, Manna Dey, Asha Bhonsle, Mohammed Rafi and Usha Mangeshkar.

The movie Yari Dushmani was an action flick that revolved mostly around two boys named Shambu ( Sunil Dutt ) and Birju ( Amjad Khan ) who grew together on the footpaths like orphans. They were the best friends of each other and always ready to help each other. One day they come across Pammi ( Reena Roy ) who was in the hold of a man named Jumbo ( Jankidas ). They all decided to steal the stuffs from a marriage that was going to hold in few days.

The three people did exactly as planned but Birju was taken over by greed and thus he got Shambu arrested by the police. The incident changed their life completely. While Shambu was arrested, Pammi was hiding from the police and Birju was living a wealthy and comfortable life. Shambu came to know about the cheating on him by Birju through Pammi and thus decided to take his revenge from him. While in jail he came to know that there were diamonds at the foot of Kala Parbat.
