The dramatic action movie, Yeh Desh was released on February 24, 1984. P Mallikharjuna Rao produced and Rama Rao Tatineni directed the movie. The lead cast of the movie included Jeetendra, Zeenat Aman and Utpal Dutt while Shakti Kapoor, Om Shiv Puri, Amrish Puri, Satyen Kappu, Kamal Hassan and Aruna Irani played the supporting roles. Asha Bhosle, Kishore Kumar, Usha Mangeshkar and Suresh Wadekar sang the songs for the movie and Rahul Dev Burman gave the music. Anand Bakshi was the lyricist.

Chandramohan Azad ( Jeetendra ) is a hard-working employee and the union leader of his company. His enthusiasm and honesty is ostracized by some of his colleagues and a fellow worker Sinha ( Pincho Kapoor ).He is conspired against the murder of a fellow union worker and is sentenced to imprisonment for several years. After his release, he discovers that his brother-in-law, Deshbandhu ( Utpal Dutt ) is a MLA, and his sister ( Seema Deo ) is content with the way the things are.

Chandramohan, being a truthful and an honest man, feels frustrated in the corrupt society. He attempts to modify the circumstances .But his entire attempts failed one after one. The movie deals with the clashing of good and evil. Will Chandramohan continue struggling for inequality or will he himself become part of the system he fights now?
