Yeh Wada Raha was a romantic musical film released on April 9, 1982. The movie was directed by Kapil Kapoor and produced by Ramesh Behl. The main roles in the movie were played by Rishi Kapoor, Sarika, Tina Munim and Poonam Dhillon while the presence of Shammi Kapoor, Rakhee, Rakesh Roshan, Rakesh Bedi, Iftekhar and Agha supported the film. The music of the film was directed by R D Burman while the songs were sung by Kishore Kumar and Asha Bhosle.

Yeh Wada Raha was a romantic cum musical film that revolved mostly around a man named Vikram Rai Bahadur ( Rishi Kapoor ) who is the only son of a woman Mrs. Sharda ( Rakhee ). Being her only son, he was also the sole possessor of her entire estate and property. He was on a vacation with his friend Gogi ( Rakesh Bedi ) and this is when he comes across a beautiful girl named Sunita ( Tina Munim ) and falls in deep love with her. He wanted to marry her and thus proposes her who also accepts the proposal.

Soon the marriage takes place in quite traditional way and both the people swears to be with each other always. Unfortunately, the car in which they were travelling meets with an accident. While Gogi sustains minor injuries, Vikram is badly hurt and hospitalized, and Sunita is severely disfigured. Sunita was saved and cured perfectly by the two doctors Dr. Sahni ( Iftekhar ) and Dr. Mehra ( Shammi Kapoor ) using the plastic surgery method.
